New research and new products in cosmetics and medical skincare
Berlin / Bologna, 21 April 2022 – The importance of research into the microbiome for cosmetics, medical skincare, and other medical products has increased significantly worldwide. BELANO medical AG will hence attend key international trade fairs to showcase its proprietary ingredients for natural, microbiotic cosmetics and skincare based on natural bacteria.
At the Cosmoprof Worldwide, held in Bologna from 28 April to 2 May, BELANO medical will showcase its proprietary ingredient “stimulans”, which was developed based on natural lactic acid bacteria and is used by several manufacturers and brands for their respective cosmetics and skincare products. It stimulates the growth of natural, healthy bacteria such as Staphylococcus epidermidis on the skin. As a result, inflammatory bacteria are reduced and the healthy balance of the skin microbiome is repaired, making it possible to prevent skin conditions or diseases. Professor Dr Christine Lang, CSO at BELANO medical AG, emphasises: “We have developed a unique agent which, in a natural way, rejuvenates the skin microbiome, thus preserving and rebuilding healthy skin.”
The ingredient “stimulans” is contained in BELANO medical’s own skincare products, too. Exhibited in Bologna will be the “ibiotics beauty” line of cosmetics and the “ibiotics med” line of medical skincare which includes an intensive cream, acute care products, e.g. for sufferers from atopic eczema, as well as a hand lotion, baby hydro gel, skin lotion, and a tincture for use on diseased scalp, among others.
Cosmoprof Worldwide has been held for more than 50 years and is considered the world’s leading trade fair for the professional beauty and cosmetics industry. The last edition held prior to the Corona pandemic hosted more than 250,000 visitors from more than 150 countries. About 3,000 exhibitors show their developments and products, distributed over more than 200,000 sqm exhibition space. (https://www.cosmoprof.com/)
